What is the Troopers Platform Fee?

The Platform Fee is a small 2% charge on your shift earnings. It helps Troopers keep the app running smoothly, protect your jobs, and offer better support and features over time. T&Cs apply. We are having a free introductory period where we will waive this platform fee until 30 April 2026.

When is the Platform Fee charged?

The fee is only charged when you complete a shift. If you don’t complete the shift, no Platform Fee is deducted for that job.

How is the 2% Platform Fee calculated?

The fee is 2% of your basic shift earnings.

Example:

  • Shift Earnings: RM100
  • Platform Fee (2% of shift pay): RM2
  • Total Earnings: RM98

You can see this breakdown in your Earnings History or Earnings Summary. However, we are having a free introductory period where we will waive this platform fee until 30 April 2026.

Does the Platform Fee reduce my hourly or shift rate shown in the app?

The rate shown on the Job Details page is your basic earnings for the shift. The 2% fee is deducted after you complete the job, similar to other platforms that charge a service fee. However, we are having a free introductory period where we will waive this platform fee until 30 April 2026

What benefits do I get from paying the Platform Fee?

The Platform Fee helps Troopers to (T&Cs apply):

  • Protect your shifts with Work Guarantee (up to 50% of shift pay if a client cancels less than 24 hours before start time).
  • With Verified Jobs, if a job is proven unsafe work conditions, after investigation, you may receive up to 100% salary reimbursement.
  • Improve your experience in the app, including:
    • better job coordination and support
    • maintaining Troopers Academy learning content
    • ongoing platform/server maintenance so the app stays stable.
Does the fee still apply if the client cancels the job?

No, the platform fee is only charged on completed shift earnings. If the client cancels less than 24 hours before start time and it qualifies, Work Guarantee may pay you up to 50% of your shift rate as inconvenience compensation (T&Cs apply).

Does the fee apply if I cancel or no-show?

If you cancel or no-show, you will not earn from the shift and platform fee does not apply. However, your ratings and future opportunities may be affected according to Troopers’ policies.

Is the 2% Platform Fee charged on incentives, claims, or reimbursements?

No. The Platform Fee is charged on your basic shift earnings only. It does not apply to things like, claims, reimbursements or approved allowances (unless stated otherwise in the job).

Can Troopers change the Platform Fee in future?

Yes. Troopers may adjust the Platform Fee in future, but we will give you at least 30 days’ notice through the Troopers App and/or official channels before any change takes effect.

Where can I see how much Platform Fee I’ve paid?

You can check in the app:

Profile → Earnings History → Transaction

Can I opt out of the Platform Fee?

No. The Platform Fee is part of using the Troopers App and its services. However, the protections and improvements it supports are designed to give you more value. 

If I accept a job before 30 April 2026 but the shift start date is on 1 May 2026, will the Platform Fee apply?

Yes. Platform Fee is determined by the shift start date, not the application or confirmation date. Any shift starting on or after 1 May 2026 will incur the fee. All shifts occurring in April remain fee-waived.

Can I download a statement showing all the Platform Fees I have paid?

Yes. You can view and download these details directly within your Earnings Statement in the app.

Does the Platform Fee apply if I work multiple jobs in one day?

Yes. The fee is transaction-based. Because each job is processed as a separate engagement, the fee will be applied to the gross earnings of every individual shift you complete.

Will the Platform Fee apply if I check in, but the job is cancelled later?

Yes. If a job is cancelled after check-in and you receive a payout, the Platform Fee will be applied to that earned amount.

Will the Platform Fee apply if my attendance is reported?

Yes. The Platform Fee is deducted from your earnings and certain reimbursements only.

What should I do if I believe the Platform Fee was calculated incorrectly?

Please reach out to our support team immediately. Navigate to Contact Us → Other Enquiries and submit a ticket. Ensure you attach a screenshot of your Earnings Statement or other evidence of the discrepancy for a quicker resolution.

Will the Platform Fee be refunded if there was a system error?

If a technical glitch results in an overcharge or an incorrect deduction, we will investigate the incident. Once the error is verified, a full refund of the disputed fee will be credited back to your account.

Work Guarantee - What is the Work Guarantee?

Work Guarantee is a protection that helps you when a verified client cancels your shift too close to the start time. It is meant to reduce your loss when you have already planned your time for the job.

Work Guarantee - When am I entitled to inconvenience compensation?

 You may be entitled to compensation if:

  • The job is a verified Troopers gig, and
  • The client cancels within 24 hours before the shift start time (Exclusions applied to Shopee Express Warehouse Crew, Shopee Express Rider/Drivers.), and

If all conditions are met, you may receive up to 50% of the shift rate as inconvenience compensation.

Work Guarantee - How will I receive the compensation?

 If approved, the amount will be:

  • Credited as Total Earnings in your Troopers app.
  • Paid according to the Payment Terms of the job.

This compensation is paid by Troopers, not deducted from your earnings.

Work Guarantee - Do I need to apply, or is it automatic?

In many cases, Troopers will review cancellations automatically. However, if you feel you are entitled and did not receive anything:

  • You may head to Troopers App -> Profile, then click on Contact Us. You will find a form under Platform Fee Enquiries - Work Guarantee Claims.
  • Provide the details of the cancellation and submit.

Work Guarantee - Does this apply if I cancel, arrive late, or no-show?

No. Work Guarantee only applies when the client cancels under the agreed conditions. If you cancel the shift, arrive late, do not show up, You are not entitled to inconvenience compensation, and further action may be taken according to Troopers’ policies.
